KRAFTON Inc., GRID Esports, and ThriveFantasy released today Fantasy PUBG Esports for fans in North America. The product is available via the ThriveFantasy App for iOS and Android, in addition to its website.

The goal of playing Fantasy PUBG Esports isn’t always to win the big prize. ThriveFantasy offers fans another way to immerse themselves in the PUBG Esports scene by imagining themselves in the shoes of the top team’s GM, calling on new players to make a splash, making decisions, and getting excited with every moment of the game, in a brand-new way. Fantasy participants might not always win the main prize, but they’ll gain invaluable experience, knowledge, and understanding of the game to help them eventually take home the prize – just like the pros.

“There has been no shortage of unforgettable moments from PUBG Global Championship 2022 so far,” said Everett Coleman, Director of Esports & Events at KRAFTON. “As we all eagerly watch to see which team will be crowned this year’s Global Champions, we are pleased to announce yet another way for fans to get involved in the action for PGC 2022 and beyond. While your favorite teams are competing and winning on stage during the Grand Final at PGC, you can be winning at home through your knowledge of PUBG Esports.”

ThriveFantasy offers various contests for Fantasy PUBG Esports that vary from the entry fee, prize pool, and the number of entrants. From large guaranteed prize pools, to freerolls, to head-to-head competitions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout major PUBG Esports competitions. ThriveFantasy features live updating stats every 15-30 seconds, provided directly from the game server through the GRID Data Platform, to provide fans with real-time information and keep them updated as the action unfolds live.

“We recognize how engaged PUBG fans are,” said Adam Weinstein, Founder and CEO of ThriveFantasy. “When we were given the opportunity to gamify the biggest tournament of the year, we immediately accepted. Krafton and Grid have been phenomenal partners and we know this is just the start of a long-lasting relationship to ensure everyone watching has a great and exciting experience.”

“Today, our Partnership with KRAFTON contributes truly to the progression of in-game data adoption in the esports industry as a whole. Since the beginning, in-game data has been primarily associated with a limited pool of use cases. Fantasy PUBG Esports is an initiative that perfectly showcases the potential of in-game data assets, proving its ability to engage fans and enable unique experiences for the audience. We are proud of leading this change with visionary partners like KRAFTON and ThriveFantasy and are determined to continue to innovate together,” said Moritz Maurer, Founder and CEO at GRID.
